BBYO is the leading pluralistic Jewish teen movement nationwide. BBYO reaches tens of thousands of Jewish teens from all over the world, from all types of Jewish backgrounds. Involvement in BBYO is open to any Jewish teen, regardless of current or previous communal and congregational affiliations. BBYO is a teen led organization, where the teens themselves plan their own programs under the supervision of volunteer adult advisors and BBYO professional staff. For over 80 years, BBYO has offered unique and exciting opportunities for Jewish teens to connect with one another, building friendships that can last a lifetime, while learning leadership skills that will serve them during college and into adulthood.

The Jewish Federation of Nashville and Middle Tennessee’s Get Connected program is designed to provide Nashville’s 10th and 11th grade students with a deeper connection to Judaism, their peers in the Nashville community and Israel and its people. Research indicates the achievement of these goals provides many future benefits for teens to live a meaningful Jewish life with affinity to the Jewish community. Get Connected welcomes Jews from all denominations, backgrounds and levels of observance.

CHAI & MiTY is the expanded hybrid program for Congregation Micah’s teens in grades 9-12. CHAI Society meets on Wednesday nights with Rabbi Flip Rice and Julie Greenberg and introduces teens to texts and topics taught by various rabbis and lay leaders throughout the larger Jewish community. CHAI Society also includes membership in MiTY (Micah Temple Youth, part of NFTY—the North American Federation of Temple Youth).

The United Synagogue Youth (USY) is the official youth organization of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism (USCJ). MTUSY is the West End Synagogue’s chapter of USY. USY is an international organization with thousands of high school age members. It provides a comfortable social and educational environment for Jewish teens in Nashville, the Southeast region, the United States, and throughout the world.

The JCC Maccabi games consist of teens 13-16 years old that compete in athletic competition with other delegations from North America and Israel. It provides Jewish youth with a supportive environment that fosters mutual respect and sportsmanship, where they can interact in an atmosphere of fun, democracy, and peace; cultivate a deeper understanding and instill an appreciation of Jewish values within Jewish youth, enrich their Jewish identity in an informal setting, and encourage their identification with the state of Israel; promote and encourage the health, physical fitness and well-being of Jewish youth through participation in recreational and athletic activities; and introduce Jewish youth to the international Maccabi Movement, which presents athletic, cultural, and social opportunities with Jews from around the world.
